Jim’s Sports Bar is definitely the place to go for football fans who want to catch big matches in a smart and convivial environment.
This brand new state-of the-art facility cost one quarter of a million pounds to create – and it’s big money well-spent. The exciting new venue is no secret to fans of Fleetwood Town FC, where it was opened at the Highbury stadium in October.
But happily Jim’s Bar, named after club president Jim Betmead who reformed the club a decade ago, is not restricted to supporters of the club. The bar, which boasts an incredible 23 plasma screens which is unrivalled locally, is also open to the general public. The huge number of screens give customers the choice to watch any number of games at a given time, whether it be matches from the Premiership, the Champions League, the English Championship or the FA Cup.
And look out for England games – Jim’s Sports Bar will show all the big matches featuring the Three Lions. Aside from all those screens, the stylish lay-out is another big plus point. Designed by illustrious international bars company GMP International, it offers a wide bar area to avoid awkward queues when customers go for drinks.
Fleetwood Town chief executive Steve Curwood said: “It’s an exciting new facility and you will not find a sports anywhere around here with as many plasma screen showing live satellite games from both Sky Sports and Setanta. Jim’s Bar is also available to hire for functions, so football fans could be in for a treat. The bar is a great location for any family celebration or business function.”
The bar is open to the public on match day Saturdays from 12am until late, and match day Tuesdays from 6pm until late.
On non-match Saturdays it is open from 12am until 7.30pm and on all Sundays from 12am until 6.30pm.
The price for hiring Jim's Sports Bar starts from £150.
