FA Youth Cup 2008/09
23/10/08

FLEETWOOD, Lancs, 23 October, 2008

The FA Youth Cup 2008/09

Fleetwood Town U18s are now looking
forward to visiting Formby in the FA Youth
Cup 3rd Qualifying Round on Tuesday 28th October. That comes after Formby put five away goals past Daisy Hill on Tuesday evening in front of 28 spectators.

The winners of the Formby and Fleetwood Town clash face a home visit from Oldham Athletic in the First Round Proper. Date to be confirmed.

Town have progressed thanks to September's 1st Qualifying Round victory at Padiham when a Joey Newsome (pictured) header was enough to put Fleetwood through to the next round.

Another away fixture followed this time at Ashton United two weeks ago. Town came away 4-1 to the good with Sam Ratcliffe and Adam Sumner adding to a brace from Newsome.
