Town Youth Insider
05/11/08

FLEETWOOD, Lancs, 05 November, 2008

The game tonight is a good indication of the talent and will to win in the Fleetwood Town Youth team.  Each of the young squad members deserve praise for the results and success we have enjoyed so far this season.

All that hard work has formed a foundation for the season and we must now maintain our form. That starts tonight.

Oldham Athletic are a quick and strong side. They are a well organised team who demonstrate good passing and playing ability. That’s just what I expect from a professional outfit. They are involved with the Oldham Academy full-time. Their time is split between regular training several times each week and further education.

We will need to be at our best to rival them this evening.  Our Fleetwood Town Youth team have already proved their worth in the competition.  The lads have successfully battled through in three tough away matches to reach this stage.  That achievement will not be thrown away. We will give a good account of ourselves.

The prize from this game is a home tie against Rotherham United.  They overcame Workshop Town on Monday evening, winning 3-0 away.
